About Training Tips and Strategies

This blog is designed to give you an insight into the life of a professional dog trainer. I always say, "I think about dog training 36 hours a day" and it is not far from the truth. There are so many fascinating aspects to training dogs and I want to share them with you. I also want to hear what you have to say as well.

I have a private dog training business, named Chicago Paws, as well as my dog training video and community site WatchandTrain.com.

I am adamant about treating all animals humanely and ONLY using positive reinforcement dog training. Any dog trainer, no matter what they call themselves, that uses choke chains, prong or shock collars are not using positive reinforcement techniques. I want to educate you about how to train your dog humanely and without the use of fear or pain of any kind.

I live in Chicago with my unbelievably amazing wife, Cassy, and my three dogs, Ranger, Trooper and Linus.

I hope you like this site and that it makes you think. If you agree or disagree with what I have to say, speak up. Life is so much more interesting when people communicate their ideas. I really want to hear what you have to say.
